Bellevue proved they can win big with a three-set victory on Monday. On Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Camden-Frontier Redskins 3-2. The win is more of the same for the Broncos, who have now won six matches in a row.

While Bellevue might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Camden-Frontier scored at least 11 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 15-11.

Briella Breton paced Bellevue's offense, picking up nine kills. Breton got some help from Paisely Smith and her 14 assists. Breton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Bellevue's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Camden-Frontier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's left a mark on their 5-8 record this season.

Bellevue and Camden-Frontier could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Broncos (ranked 449th) will meet Pennfield (ranked 184th) on Saturday. Meanwhile, Camden-Frontier will square off against Hillsdale Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (#463 vs. #158).
