Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. California School for the Deaf blew past Model Secondary School for the Deaf 12-2. California School for the Deaf might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

Julianna Hammons made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Geneva Brock was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Estreya Juarez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

California School for the Deaf always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Model Secondary School for the Deaf only posted an OBP of .400.

The win made it two in a row for California School for the Deaf and bumps their season record up to 14-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
