The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Academy for Innovative Education 95-11 on the road. With that victory, Schoolhouse Prep brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
It was another big night for Adena Webster, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Evelyn Isaac was another key contributor, dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 11 assists, and 14 steals.
When it comes to explaining why Academy for Innovative Education lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samantha Ayerdis. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with three steals. Ayerdis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Academy for Innovative Education struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Schoolhouse Prep pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Schoolhouse Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Academy for Innovative Education, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schoolhouse Prep will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. St. Thomas Aquinas presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wolfpack in Florida (the Raiders are ranked eighth, while the Wolfpack are ranked 143rd). As for Academy for Innovative Education, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Rays at 3:30 p.m. on January 30th. Mater Academy Bay will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
