The Community Charter Titans won the last time they faced the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Community Charter came out on top against the Vanguards by a score of 60-50.
Community Charter was led to victory by Edem Ladzekpo and Antonio Chancon. Ladzekpo scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Chancon scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chancon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Misael Davila, who scored ten points.
Community Charter's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Valley Oaks CES, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Charter will challenge the Panthers at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (CHAMPS is ranked 1307th, while the Titans are ranked 1292nd). As for Valley Oaks CES, they will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bert Corona Charter is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
