Prairie dropped their record down to 4-5 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 25-2 to the Genesee Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 two weeks ago.

As for Genesee, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Genesee's part, Kendra Meyer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Meyer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Makayla Herman was incredible, going 4-for-5 with ten RBI, four runs, and two triples. That's the most runs she has posted over her last eight contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Banks, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs.

Coincidentally, Prairie and Genesee will both be playing Glenns Ferry the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Pilots at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
