Richland had to start their season on the road  on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took  a  10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windber Ramblers. Sadly, the  loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.
  Addy Matejovich led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bella Marguccio, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
Windber now  has a winning record of 2-1.
 Richland and Windber will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Richland is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Penn Cambria  at 4:30  p.m.  on April 1. Meanwhile, Windber will  challenge  rival Rockwood  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
