Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Clarksville Academy's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Clarksville Academy won the last time they faced Nashville Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars blew past the Eagles 12-2. Considering the Cougars have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tristan Cobbler was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Justin Roach Ii also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Clarksville Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Clarksville Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Nashville Christian, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Coming up, Clarksville Academy will welcome Benet Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nashville Christian, they will head out to take on University School of Nashville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
