The Colorado High School Activities Association adjusted the boys state soccer and field hockey playoff schedules Wednesday because of a major snowstorm that has impacted most of the state.
The first round of the Class 5A and 3A boys soccer state playoffs were scheduled to be completed Wednesday. Schools now will have until Saturday to play those games. The second round of the Class 4A bracket was scheduled for Thursday, but games now will be allowed through Saturday.
Those changes also alter the schedule for the second round in 5A and 3A. Nov. 3 is the new date for that round, with the quarterfinals in 5A being moved back a day to Nov. 5. The rest of the boys soccer tournament schedule remains unchanged.
In addition, the state field hockey semifinals scheduled for Wednesday at Burt.com Stadium in Parker have been moved to Monday, the original date of the championship. The finals now will be played Nov. 4.
