Brock Dickey and Austin Vreeland provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lompoc. The connection was good for 82 yards, the longest such play in Los Padres this season.
The Braves extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Santa Ynez, 56-7. The win marks eighth in a row for the Lompoc.
Nipomo's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Luke Shurtleff threw for 290 and three touchdowns and Ian Wilkinson had 205 yards receiving. On the ground Tommy Saenz chipped in 221 yards. Saenz helped Nipomo's passing attack out by catching three balls for 36 yards.
Nipomo's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shurtleff has thrown for 1478 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Wilkinson has 46 catches for 508 yards. Saenz leads the league in rushing with 1046 yards.
A big matchup in Los Padres this week will be when the Pirates take on Templeton. At the moment, Santa Ynez is in fifth, while the Eagles are in second.
Morro Bay moved up to 305 from 378 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Pirates were able to make move up by topping Cabrillo 49-7.
