Round Rock Westwood will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Stony Point, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Tigers 35-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Warriors just coasted through the last quarter.
Wade Allen had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 229 yards and four scores.

Meanwhile, Vandegrift entered their tilt with Hutto on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Hippos by a score of 44-34.
Vandegrift's win came from a few key players Round Rock Westwood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sam Brown, who rushed for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Those 116 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Brock Chilton did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 126 receiving yards.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Vandegrift, racking up 14 points in total. All came from Wiley Olson: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 5-for-5 kicking extra points for an additional five.
Vandegrift didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Davis and Griffin Gorrebeeck. Hugo DeLaVara Vazquez was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making six total tackles.
Round Rock Westwood's record now sits at 3-5. As for Vandegrift, their record is now 6-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Round Rock Westwood has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 168.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Vandegrift struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 168.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
