The West Cowboys will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Cristo Rey Cougar at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. West comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Monday, West was beaten by East 57-21.
Cristo Rey played against Horizon Science Academy and lost via forfeit.
West dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.1 points per game. As for Cristo Rey, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
West took a serious blow against Cristo Rey in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, falling 54-27. Can West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
