The Jamestown Muskies's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rocky Grove Orioles at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 82-20, which was the final score in Jamestown's tilt against Farrell last Friday. While losing is never fun, Jamestown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 674th, while Farrell is ranked 194th).
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Rocky Grove's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Their tough 71-46 defeat to Farrell might stick with them for a while. Rocky Grove has struggled against Farrell recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Rocky Grove saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Landen Carter, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Carter has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Stevenson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Jamestown has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Rocky Grove, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.
Jamestown was taken down by Rocky Grove 71-31 in their previous matchup back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jamestown was down 42-15.
