The Lincoln Trojans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against Chiles by a score of 13-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2021.
Lincoln's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Arnold and 3-6 Rickards (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 29.6% over those games). As for Chiles, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln is on the road again on Friday and play against Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in Florida State University High School's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Chiles, they will head out on the road to face off against Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunlake has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25.
