Basketball Game Preview: Bendle Tigers vs. Genesee Wolves

Bendle has gone 7-0 against Genesee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bendle Tigers will welcome the Genesee Wolves at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Bendle's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Genesee has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Bendle didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bentley, but they still walked away with a 76-70 victory.

Bendle's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malis Firman, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. Firman is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Bingham, who went 5 of 12 en route to 20 points.

Meanwhile, Genesee had to suffer through a 77-14 loss at the hands of Hamady. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bendle is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Genesee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything came up roses for Bendle against Genesee in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 80-52 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Genesee's Connor Rouse, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points and five rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Bendle to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
