Lena/Aquinas were successful in their last outing against Oneida Nation, and they didn't afford Oneida Nation any payback this time around. Lena/Aquinas took the game and then some with a 44-7 victory on Friday over Oneida Nation. Lena/Aquinas were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Lena/Aquinas' offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 22 first-half points. Meanwhile, Oneida Nation couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. Lena/Aquinas put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense.
Next week Lena/Aquinas take on Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy . Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy also lit up the scoreboard in their last match, so this could be a high-scoring match. Oneida Nation will be playing at home against Gillett at at 7:00 PM. Gillett are limping into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
