Fletcher has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on Providence Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Providence Classical took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fletcher, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Fletcher didn't have too much trouble with Grace Academy at home as they won 39-25.
Meanwhile, Providence Classical's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-27 bruising from Fletcher. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Providence Classical came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 242nd in South Carolina, while Fletcher is ranked 529th in North Carolina).
Fletcher's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 18.67 points. As for Providence Classical, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Fletcher strolled past Providence Classical in their previous meeting last Friday by a score of 43-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fletcher since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
