Faith Christian had lost seven games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-4 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the South Newton Rebels 8-7. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.
Christian Carlson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and three stolen bases.
In other batting news, Ethan Seubring was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Carter Haynes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
