Sadly, the Highland Rams are still looking for their first win of the season after 16 contests. They took a hard 50-32 fall against East on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Highland of the 50-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Mele Giles was Highland's leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Katinia Olevao held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
Danae Asiata took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Highland's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for East, their win ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Highland is ranked 100th, while Skyline is ranked 78th). As for East, they will be playing at home against West at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
