If the Concrete Lions were feeling good off their 56-25 takedown of Thorp on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Concrete fell 53-40 to Crescent on Saturday. Concrete has not had much luck with Crescent recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lukas Love continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crescent, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Love's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bourm, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Concrete's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Crescent, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concrete will face off against Mount Vernon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Vernon Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Crescent, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Quinault at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
