After flying high against Southridge  last Friday, Beaverton came back down to earth. The Beavers had to suffer through  a    63-27 loss at the hands of the Jesuit Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Crusaders are ranked ninth).
  Luke Ortner produced another solid  performance rushing for 396 yards and six  scores while picking up 9.2 yards per carry for Jesuit. Thanks to that big game,  Ortner is now up to 14  rushing touchdowns on the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jack Wilson, who threw for 136 yards and a pair of  TDs on only six passes.
Beaverton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Jesuit, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Beaverton is set to  take on  their familiar foe Westview  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Jesuit will  challenge  rival Mountainside  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
