Parrish Community is on a 16-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Montverde Academy is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bulls will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Parrish Community 2, Montverde Academy 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Parrish Community's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Palmetto 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulls have posted against the Tigers since April 16, 2021.
Not much got past Sophia Mandarine, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Palmetto off the board. Mandarine has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Parrish Community saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Lewis has hit this season.
Meanwhile, Montverde Academy got the win against Foundation Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Eagles have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nevaeh Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 17 Ks.
On the hitting side, Montverde Academy let Miranda Murch and Addison Poe run wild. Murch fired off two home runs while going 2-for-4, while Poe went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those two home runs gave Murch a new career-high. Luna Taboas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Montverde Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foundation Academy only posted a batting average of .185.

The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Montverde Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 21-2.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Parrish Community has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447.
