The Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 71-36 defeat at the hands of Chattanooga Prep. While losing is never fun, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Sentinels are ranked 108th).
Chattanooga Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derrick Roberson led the charge by scoring 14 points along with two steals. Roberson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Ta'Suade Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Chattanooga Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will take on the Mountain Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattanooga Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.
