The Magnolia Bulldogs lost against the Spring Lions back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Magnolia took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spring. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Magnolia in their matchups with Spring: they've now lost four in a row.
Za'Kenya Thompson was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points for Spring. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Goodjoint, who scored 8 points.
The last time Magnolia won on the road was back last Thursday. Having now lost four straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Spring, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Magnolia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brenham at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Spring, they will face off against North Shore at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (North Shore is ranked 213th, while Spring is ranked 228th).
