If the Broadwater Bulldogs were feeling good off their 55-27 takedown of the Lone Peak Big Horns last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Broadwater had to suffer through a rough 65-35 loss at the hands of Jefferson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Broadwater has scored all season.
Jefferson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Toney, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Arena Faler, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Broadwater's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Jefferson, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Broadwater will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shields Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Jefferson, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on White Sulphur Springs at 5:30 p.m. on January 13th. White Sulphur Springs will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
