Augusta Prep Day scaled the state rankings by moving to 259 from 288 this week, the biggest jump in Glory For Christ - East. Augusta Prep Day was able to move up by topping East Atlanta 41-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Anderson Cavaliers beat North Georgia 37-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Cavaliers.
Anderson Cavaliers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Davis Cousar threw for 177 and 2 touchdowns and Wayne Johnson had 97 yards receiving. On the ground Kolby Looney chipped in 76 yards. Isaac Moorhouse helped Anderson Cavaliers' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 61 yards.
Johnson was the best wideout in the league this week as Michael Cousar's team bested the Falcons. Johnson racked up 10 receptions for 97 yards. Moorhouse helped Anderson Cavaliers' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 61 yards.
Anderson Cavaliers' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cousar has thrown for 1,263 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 24 catches for 382 yards.
One of Glory For Christ - East's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Cavaliers and Georgia Force face off next week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Skipstone Academy takes on Harry Bacheller's team. As it stands, the Warriors are in third, while Augusta Prep Day is in second.
There should be lots of points scored when Anderson Cavaliers and the Blue Knights face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Cavaliers comes in having scored 358 this season, while Georgia Force has scored 123. Anderson Cavaliers scored 37 points last week as it beat North Georgia.
Augusta Eagles lost to Monsignor Donovan Catholic 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
