If the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions were feeling good off their 73-28 takedown of the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. John Paul II Catholic took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mohave Accelerated. St. John Paul II Catholic lost against Mohave Accelerated in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 74-58 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why St. John Paul II Catholic lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Isabel Sesmas. Despite the final result, she dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 steals. The game was Sesmas' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Cervantes , who scored 12 points.
