Basketball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Orestimba Warriors

Ripon has gone 3-0 against Orestimba recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Ripon Indians will look to defend their home court against the Orestimba Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Orestimba will be up against a hot Ripon team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Ripon blew past Hughson 71-48 on Wednesday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Huskies are ranked 943rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Marcus Madoski, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds. The matchup was his 23rd in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Baur, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

Ripon was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hughson only racked up six assists.

Meanwhile, Orestimba can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Sonora by a score of 75-64.

Ripon pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Orestimba, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 6-16.

Everything came up roses for Ripon against Orestimba in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured an 85-49 victory. Will Ripon repeat their success, or does Orestimba have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
