Last Friday, Gibson County took a serious blow against Trinity Christian Academy, falling 80-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gibson County has scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though Jackson Central Merry scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Millington Central still came out on top. Millington Central took their contest against Jackson Central Merry 69-57. Given Millington Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Jackson Central Merry is ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gibson County's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-4. As for Millington Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
