The Greenwood Rangers came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Andrews with points to spare, taking the game 79-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Tatum Pierce, who scored 30 points. He hasn't dropped below 24 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Ty Presley, who scored 15 points.
Greenwood's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Andrews, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood will take on the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seminole knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully the Rangers likes a good challenge. As for Andrews, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Pecos and three for the Mustangs.
