Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Houston Mustangs walked away with it. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-0 victory over Dickson County. The win was familiar territory for Houston who now have eight in a row.
Houston was led to victory by Chandler Day and Damon Sisa. Day threw for 146 yards and four touchdowns, while Sisa rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Sisa really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.
Houston's victory was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points per game. As for Dickson County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Houston will be playing in front of their home fans against Collierville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
