Frazier Mountain has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will challenge the Desert Scorpions. Frazier Mountain has insisted on making their last11 contests (dating back to last season) complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-11 during that stretch of close contests.
Frazier Mountain might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to Boron, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Meanwhile, Desert's 18-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Rosamond 87-53 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Desert has suffered since November 21, 2023.
Frazier Mountain bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 11.8 points. As for Desert, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Frazier Mountain couldn't quite finish off Desert in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 2-0. Can Frazier Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
