The Bridge to Independence Wildcats never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against the Saints Academy Lions on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 58-34 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Bridge to Independence has posted since January 4th.
Bridge to Independence got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydan Jeantinord out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jeantinord has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock D'Alessandro, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Bridge to Independence pushed their record up to 11-11 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Saints Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridge to Independence will face off against Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hope Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Bridge to Independence likes a good challenge. As for Saints Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against BOLCA Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
