Even though the Dover Tigers scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Parsippany Redhawks still came out on top. Parsippany secured a 59-55 W over Dover. This was payback for Parsippany, who suffered a 68-60 loss the last time these two teams met.
Arthur Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. David Niedermaier was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Parsippany's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Dover, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Parsippany will be playing in front of their home fans against Morristown-Beard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dover, they will head out on the road to challenge Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Mountain Lakes is ranked 304th, while Dover is ranked 305th).
