West Las Vegas' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was P.j. Montano, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devaughn Kensey, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
West Las Vegas has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for St. Michael's, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
West Las Vegas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-58 loss vs. Santa Fe Indian on the 9th. St. Michael's has also already played their next game, a 70-40 victory against Raton on the 9th.
