Quincy Williams was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Pensacola Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Johnson, who scored 24 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rocky Bayou Christian fought the good fight in their overtime game against Calvary Christian Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 75-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Devin Hicks, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. McCabe Olin was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 7 rebounds.
Pensacola Christian Academy's win lifted them to 5-1 while Santa Rosa Christian's defeat dropped them down to 0-9.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Pensacola Christian Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 74.8 points per game. It's a different story for Rocky Bayou Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 60 per game.
