The Graves County Eagles will head out on the road to  challenge  the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. Graves County is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
 On Thursday, Graves County beat Caldwell County 6-2.

 Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Edmonson County  on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of  5-4.
 Franklin-Simpson also let their pitcher toss all eight innings and she was also dialed-in:  Zori Stout gave up  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.
 At the plate,  Jasmine Grover was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Kloie Smith, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 Graves County has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record  this season. As for Franklin-Simpson, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 17-13.
