Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prosser). They put the hurt on the Quincy Jackrabbits with a sharp 18-6 win on Saturday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Jackrabbits recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Prosser got a great performance from Alli Hartliep as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Gavyn Robillard was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Barnhart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Prosser hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quincy struck out seven times.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-13-1. As for Quincy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prosser beat the Jackrabbits by a score of 20-2 later that day.
