Dixie is a perfect 3-0 against Provo since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Flyers will take on the Bulldogs at 5:50 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Dixie sitting on three straight wins and Provo on four.
Dixie is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mountain View 51-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Flyers have posted since November 22, 2025.
Collin Simmons produced another solid performance going 8-for-13 to rack up 22 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Dixie's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mack Howard, who posted eight points and five assists.
Dixie was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They are 16-5 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Provo didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Sky View on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 71-66 victory.
Dixie better keep an eye on Callen Tollestrup. He was instrumental in Provo's win, shooting 4-for-6 from long range and dropping a double-double with 33 points and 11 boards. The contest was Tollestrup's 16th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Makai Allen, who shot 58% from the field en route to 15 points and four steals.
Provo's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Dixie, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Dixie has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Provo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
