North Paulding has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Marietta Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (North Paulding is ranked 39th, while Marietta is ranked 59th).
North Paulding put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over Hillgrove.
North Paulding can attribute much of their success to Tyler Niehr, who threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. Calvin Scott and his 81 yards on the ground were also a key factor in North Paulding's victory.
Meanwhile, Marietta beat Harrison 36-28 on Friday.
Their wins bumped North Paulding to 7-2 and Marietta to 3-6.
North Paulding beat Marietta 21-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Paulding since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
