The Grand Canyon Phantoms scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Seligman, posting a 71-14 victory at home. That 57 points margin sets a new team best for Grand Canyon this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grand Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xochitl Galvan, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Galvan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaemie Jensen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Grand Canyon and bumps their season record up to 8-11. As for Seligman, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Canyon will take on Ash Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Ash Fork is ranked 263rd, while Grand Canyon is ranked 262nd). As for Seligman, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Williams at 5:30 p.m.
