Last Friday, everything went West Forsyth's way against Parkview as West Forsyth made off with a 45-21 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.
Foster Orris and Max Walraven were among the main playmakers for West Forsyth as the former gained 86 total yards and three touchdowns and the latter threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes. Orris got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 54 yards.
West Forsyth wouldn't let Parkview keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. West Forsyth can thank James Mccallar and Drew Fankhauser for forcing both of them. Mccallar is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lambert, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in August. They came out on top against Cherokee by a score of 49-41 on Friday.
Lambert's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Daughtery, who threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Jesse Brooks helped Daughtery out on the ground, rushing for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
Lambert's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Christian Smith and Luke Lemoine. Smith also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Branson Brooks was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
West Forsyth now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lambert, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
