The Stryker Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Edon Bombers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Stryker was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Litchfield 10-8. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jacob Myers
04/28/25 @ Litchfield | 3 |
04/24/25 @ Holgate | 4 |
04/23/25 vs Pettisville | 5 |
04/21/25 @ Emmanuel Christian | 5 |
04/16/25 vs Hilltop | 1 |
The team relied heavily on Jacob Myers, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. William Donovan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Edon made easy work of Gorham Fayette on Monday and carried off a 16-1 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Bombers this season.
Edon got a massive performance out of Christian Owens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave Owens a new career-high. Kyler Sapp was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Edon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gorham Fayette only managed one hit.
Edon now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Stryker, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Stryker has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Edon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Stryker might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Edon when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
