The Windham Whippets can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They really took it to Parish Hill for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-18 victory at home. While fans of Windham might be used to big wins, the 64-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Hailey Flores continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Jenkins, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Parish Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hannah Becker, who scored three points along with six rebounds and three blocks, and Julie Millerd who scored ten points.
Windham pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.8 points. As for Parish Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Windham will head out on the road to challenge the Bobcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Bacon Academy is ranked 16th, while the Whippets are ranked 30th). As for Parish Hill, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Putnam has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27.
