Broken Bow is 9-0 against Minden since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Broken Bow Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Minden Whippets at 7:00 p.m. Broken Bow is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Last Friday, Broken Bow didn't have too much trouble with Holdrege on the road as they won 43-19.
Eli Coble was on fire, as he threw for 58 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Coble's longest rush was for an incredible 96 yards. Brice Chaplin also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 33 points the game before, Minden faltered in their game on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 32-6 to Aurora.
Broken Bow's victory lifted them to 5-1 while Minden's defeat dropped them down to 4-2.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as this pair haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Broken Bow have averaged 4 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Minden struggle in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 per game.
Broken Bow beat Minden 27-7 when the teams last played last October. The rematch might be a little tougher for Broken Bow since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
