Shoals suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by North Knox on the road and fell 83-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Shoals has suffered against North Knox since January 11, 2018.
Meanwhile, Barr-Reeve was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 36-31 to Northeast Dubois. Barr-Reeve has struggled against Northeast Dubois recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Barr-Reeve got a solid performance out of Willow Thompson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Bledsoe, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Shoals has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Barr-Reeve, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
