The Charlotte Lab School Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-52 walloping at the hands of Jackson Day.
Despite the defeat, Charlotte Lab School saw an underclassman step up: Tyson Williams scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Williams grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ti'Kize Barrett, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Charlotte Lab School's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Jackson Day, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlotte Lab School will square off against Carolina International at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jackson Day won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Valor Preparatory Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Valor Preparatory Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
