The Colleyville Heritage Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Brewer Bears at 6:30 p.m. on February 15th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Colleyville Heritage rose to the challenge on Monday. They strolled past the Jaguars with points to spare, taking the game 52-33.
Colleyville Heritage relied on the efforts of Journee Hampton, who scored 18 points along with two steals, and Samari Stevenson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hampton has scored at least a third of Colleyville Heritage's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Suliane Davis, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brewer put the finishing touches on their 20th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southwest 90-14 on the road. Brewer's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Colleyville Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Brewer, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-4.
Colleyville Heritage skirted past Brewer 60-57 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Colleyville Heritage repeat their success, or does Brewer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
