Edgewood is 0-8 against Harford Tech since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Edgewood Rams will be staying on the road to face off against the Harford Tech Cobras at 6:45 p.m. on December 20th. Edgewood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Harford Tech likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Edgewood in a 58-43 victory over Kenwood. Given Edgewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Kenwood is ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Harford Tech scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Aberdeen by a score of 44-36. The victory was just what Harford Tech needed coming off of a 51-25 loss in their prior match.
Sophia Mace continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jessica Castro, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Edgewood's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-0. As for Harford Tech, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Edgewood took a serious blow against Harford Tech in their previous meeting back in February, falling 64-28. Can Edgewood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
