After flying high against the Wooster Generals last Friday, The Ashland Arrows came back down to earth. Ashland fell 24-14 to Lexington on Friday. Ashland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lexington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Nathan Bernhard threw for 66 yards on eight of 15 attempts.
Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lexington, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashland will challenge Columbian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ashland in Ohio (Columbian is ranked 50th, while Ashland is ranked 280th). As for Lexington, they will head out on the road to face off against Mansfield Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Senior will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
