It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Christian Heritage Lions can now relate to. They suffered a tough 30-7 loss at the hands of Macon County on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Christian Heritage couldn't push the score so high this time.
Tyler Felder was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Felder was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
Another reason for the win was Macon County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 6.5 sacks. Christian Heritage's QB won't forget Joc Perkins anytime soon given Perkins sacked him twice.
Christian Heritage now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Macon County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Christian Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Macon County is on the road again on Friday and play against Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Aquinas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
